Few Vet Clinics Have Such an Experienced and Dedicated Team

At Martindale Animal Clinic we realize that few vet clinics have the experienced and dedicated team that we do. We are proud of the team we have assembled and know that each member of our vet clinic is committed to providing our patients with the highest quality, professional and compassionate care possible.

Receptionists

K.C. Chisholm K.C. Chisholm I have been at the clinic as a full time receptionist since 2001. I have a B.Sc in geology/chemistry from Brock University, but have decided to follow my passion of working with people and pets. I live in St.Catharines with my husband, Mike, and cats, Dock and Mace. I have also been a long time ferret owner (and lover) which helps me with information for clients about ferrets. In my spare time I enjoy reading, movies, crafts and being an online geek playing World of Warcraft.I feel at Martindale Animal Clinic that we don’t have clients, what we actually have are friends. I also feel that I don’t have co-workers -we are a family.
Bianca Clark Bianca Clark  I have been working as a veterinary receptionist for the past 14 years. I joined the Martindale team in November 2005. I currently reside in Niagara Falls with my husband and two daughters and my pets Dutchie and Sierra. My hobbies include working out, reading and playing with my daughters and pets of course.I am very happy to be a part of Martindale Animal Clinic. I look forward to working everyday due to the lovely people I meet here as clients and the compassionate people I work with. Each and every person that works here loves and treats the pets that we see as if they were our own.

Technicians

Lauren In 2006, I joined the Martindale team as a high school co-op student.  I was eventually hired as a Veterinary Assistant.  After a year, I had gained a lot of great knowledge and experience from the team at Martindale.  This made me want to become a Registered Veterinary Technician.  In the fall of 2007, I attended Medaille College.  While I was attending college, I continued to work at Martindale as a receptionist.  I always knew that I would work with animals as my career, and Martindale reassured me that this was the field of work that was best for me. Upon graduation I continued my work at Martindale as a Registered Veterinary Technician.I enjoy the company of my numerous animals.  My crew consists of Willy, an excitable Lab cross, Sammy; an easy going Doberman cross; Harley the lazy cat; Oliver the three legged Siamese cross; Abbi, a sweet calico; and Ameilia, a trouble making kitten.  This big group of critters defiantly keeps me on our toes.In my spare time, I enjoy running, doing yoga, and spending time with family and friends. I am so proud to be part of this great team.  I know that our patients are receiving the best level of medicine and care.  Everyone her treats the patients like they are our own.  I enjoy giving animals a voice that they don’t have.
Jay Braun I joined the Martindale team in 2004, after graduating from the St. Clair College Veterinary Technician program. I took a nine-month hiatus from Martindale in 2007 and traveled to Australia, where I worked as a Surgery Technician at a referral hospital in Melbourne. I have a special interest in animal physio therapy and rehabilitation, and enjoy sharing this knowledge with our clients. I enjoy all aspects of being a RVT, but especially enjoy the one on one care of patients that I can provide. I live in Niagara with my husband Jake and our three cats;  Cali, Psycho and Dude and our dog, Lola. In my spare time away from the clinic I enjoy hiking, traveling and curling up with my cats and a good book! I am deeply committed to providing excellent care for both patients and clients alike. I feel very proud to be part of a team of such dedicated, caring individuals who treat each and every pet who visits us with the love and respect they deserve and as the special family members they are.
Amanda McGrenra  I attended St. Clair Community College in Windsor and graduated from the veterinary technician program in 2000. I worked at a small animal clinic in Toronto for the next six years before joining the Martindale Animal Clinic team. When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and four cats relaxing and working out at the gym.Every day I like coming to work because no two days are the same. I feel very proud of the high standard of care that is provided to our patients. I know that our patients are provided with pain medication, are monitored during anesthesia and are provided with updated medical knowledge and equipment. I feel proud to be part of this team.
Alex  I love animals – it is true.  From kittens to bears, I have studied to strengthen my knowledge.  Starting in animal care, I decided to follow up with my training and went to Sheridan College.  There, I was a member of its first graduating class. It was a wonderful opportunity to complete my co-op experience at Martindale and now I get to be a part of this great team.At home I have many critters; Strider, my dog; Pip, Hermione, and Charlie, my cats; Ludwig the chinchilla and my rat, Lily.I am so excited to be a member of the Martindale team.  I love the welcoming atmosphere and the dedication to the well being of the patients.  It is my privilege to be part of an organization where I can continue to be an advocate for pets.

Manager

Marianne Dunn Marianne Dunn After working in the administrative field, I was able to apply my skills in the veterinary field, first working with horses and now working with the great team at Martindale Animal Clinic.I truly enjoy the supportive and caring atmosphere that I share not only with my co-workers, but also with the pets and families who visit us each day. Some really great bonds are made at our clinic. My husband and I share our home with two wonderful daughters and several critters.  Inside, we always make room on the couch for one of our two cats and our dogs, Darby and Tucker, are always nearby.  Outside we are residence for many birds, bunnies, squirrels and even a few coyotes who call our property partly theirs.

Kennel Assistant

Jacquelyn Warrilow Jacquelyn Warrilow I joined Martindale Animal Clinic in December 2009 working only two evenings a week. I enjoyed it so much and never imagined that I would have the chance to work here full time, but when the opportunity presented itself I jumped at the chance! I have always been an animal lover, spending my childhood trying to rescue wild animals, or taking care of our family dogs. When I am not at Martindale, I volunteer at Procyon Wildlife Centre in Beeton, ON. I have a profound interest in wildlife rehabilitation and am currently working on getting my Wildlife Custodian Authorization. I enjoy spending time with my family, backpacking with my dogs, or scuba diving. I am currently sharing my life with my two dogs, “Rocky” and “Rambo”. I can honestly say that I wake up every day excited to come to work. No two days are the same and I just never know what to expect. I am proud to say I am a part of the Martindale team.
